“Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and it was so, even as I spake; and I said; Let it divide the waters from the waters; and it was done; And I, God, made the firmament and divided the waters, yea, the great waters under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so even as I spake. This year I have had a rain barrel in place in my backyard. It has been fun to watch it fill even when it only rains heavily for a 10 minutes. I have learned that I need about 3 more rain barrels and a better system of diverting the water when it does rain so that I am not wasting the water.
My husband and I are planning to put a small pond/water feature in our backyard. I have been watching Ted Talks about how to put swales in my yard. I have a lot to learn. I have a very basic drip system in my garden that needs to be improved in order to be efficient.
