Monday-Let There Be Light

And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God. And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light. And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. Moses 2: 2-4

Monday mornings always feel hopeful to me ..a new week, a new start, fresh perspective. My feelings seem to war between fresh motivation to push forward and weariness with the length of my to-do list..written and mental.

My morning routine has undergone some transformation over the years but the components tend to remain the same.

  • prayer–on my knees, out loud prayer
  • scripture study–Come Follow Me, General Conference talks, Book of Mormon
  • meditation–learning this and don’t always get it done
  • exercise–right now going to gym three days a week or walking the dog
  • journaling–this has become increasingly important over the years
